I feel like the ranting community on TT has always been there. However, it just comes in different formats. At first we had TOH gameplay and someone yapping, then GRWM, we had reddit stories, block blast and in 2026 it's now slime ranting or something with a whole layout. [dm me more if you remember other variations frfr] There's also commentary youtubers but that's not TT.
I actually do like the newest addition to the ranting timeline, the layouts look pretty and it also keeps something in the background like other rant video forms have in the past. It's sad that this form of ranting has a bad reputation due to all the tomfoolery and 'ragebait' that happens within it. I guess people don't know how to not give attention to ragebaiters or they don't know what the block button is. [i may also give ragebaiters the attention they desire but its wtv]
I think ranting in general [even if you post it or don't] is a good way to get your feelings out because having them stuffed inside you can be reaaaally bad even though some people gossip/overexaggerate the situation [dont do that fr]. Sooo... it doesn't matter if people care about your opinions ig.
If there were such a thing with an app where you can post rants as anon and there were no comments or like/dislike buttons, and you just post something and rant, I think that'd be good. This will have its own problems, like maybe some people want validation but they can't get it through comments/likes due to their absence, or other people will rant about the rants inside the ranting platform and make a big deal out of it all. However maybe it can lessen/get rid of ragebait due to no one having the ability to react...
